Rating Scale
The evaluation process uses a four-tiered rating system to provide a clear and consistent framework for performance assessment. Each rating level is defined by specific criteria and expectations for classified management roles within the LVUSD.
Meets Expectations
Consistently demonstrates the required level of performance and expertise. The manager effectively aligns with district goals and maintains high standards in all operational and leadership domains.
Area for Growth
Shows potential but requires targeted development to reach full competency. The manager is identified as having specific strengths and areas for improvement that require ongoing coaching and support.
Unsatisfactory
Performance is below the minimum required standard. The manager requires immediate intervention and structured support to address significant gaps in knowledge, skills, or professional conduct.
N/A
Applicable to specific roles or situations where the criteria are not relevant. This rating is used when the manager's current responsibilities do not align with the evaluation domains.
Feedback Guidance
Align your comments with district expectations and evidence-informed practices.
Strengths
Identify specific evidence of excellence in leadership, operations, or people management. Use clear examples to demonstrate how your work impacts the district mission.
Growth Priorities
Focus on areas for development with a developmental tone. Reference specific criteria and provide actionable evidence to support your recommendations for growth.
Goal Setting
Set 1–2 SMART goals that align with your role and district objectives. Ensure goals are measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound to strengthen your systems.
